It took 3 years to complete and build a beautiful stone and wooden house on the outskirts of a pretty fishing village in Northern Spain. It has wonderful views over the mountains and green fields and has been created to offer clients a relaxed, peaceful environment providing high quality accommodation. We also offer Meditation classes and sessions, Reiki, various massages all in our purpose built stone treatment room.
Situated only 3km from the beach, it's easily accessible with daily cheap flights with Ryanair or Easyjet from London Stansted to either Santander or Asturias airport. From there, we are only a short drive away....
“La Calma” is located along the coastal Camino de Santiago (St. James Way) pilgrimage route and is ideally positioned to explore the nearby activities and places of interest. These include hiking, canoing, horse riding, dinosaur footprint trails, prehistoric cave paintings, numerous sandy beaches, the magnificent Picos de Europa and many unspoilt towns and national parks.
In addition, we are a short stroll from an excellent and very reasonably priced restaurant with spectacular views over the mountains or, if you really want to spoil yourselves, a 2 minute drive to one of the best restaurants in Asturias.

All the rooms have an en-suite shower room with large “Rain fall” style shower. Each room has a large local photograph on the wall, depicting the stunning county side views. Each room comes with a remote controlled ceiling fan, mini bar with specially selected wines (Riojas and Cavas mainly), fresh tea and coffee making facilities, L’Occitane toiletries, hairdryer, LCD TV, DVD player with complimentary DVD library and complimentary Wi-Fi. Throughout the year we offer special workshops covering everything from Meditation courses to hiking weekends. All rooms have views to the garden and country side including two rooms with a balcony and one room with a very large window. |
