This traditional "cortijo" has been completely renovated with great attention to detail. It is located in an area called 'El Pino', 5km from the picturesque village of Frigiliana - a lovely rural area and only 10km from the beach. The villa is surrounded by an avocado plantation and has the splendid backdrop to one side of the sea and to the other of the mountains. At the front of the villa is a covered patio area and nearby the barbecue. There are several terraces, one of which is high up and has wonderful views over the surrounding area. There are plenty of outdoor eating areas and the scattered white houses against the sparkling Mediterranean sea are a beautiful sight. There's a natural vantage point next to the swimming pool which makes swimming a delight for the body and eyes! Inside the villa is comfortable and the decor is tasteful. The lounge has an open fire, all the bedrooms are light and have nice views.
Position: Aprox 6-7km from Frigiliana (all amenities available), 5km from shops and restaurants, 5km from a tennis court and 62km from Málaga (airport); some 7km from the beach at Calahonda, 10Km from the beach at Torrecilla and 5Km from the beach at Caletilla; Nerja and its beaches are only 6-8km away, here you can visit the famous caves and the "Gruta de las Maravillas"; about 15Km from the golf course Caleta de Vélez.
The local mountains are a conservation area and are crisscrossed by small paths, ideal for walks from the villa. The fauna and flora in this area is well worth making time to see.
There are also waymarked routes in El Parque Natural de las Sierras de Tejeda y Almijara, where the highest peak - Pico de la Maroma - is 2.066m. The nearby villages are interesting to visit: Arenas, Jatar, Fornes, Alhama de Granada and Otivar in Granada; Alcaucín, Canillas de Albaida, Canillas del Aceituno, Cómpeta, Nerja, Salares y Sedella, in Málaga. Some of the villages form the so called route of the white villages in Axarquía and are on the route of the Arte Mudéjar. |
