| The Hotel /Spa Tunel del Hada is located right in the heart of the village of Jerte which lends its name to the surrounding valley (Valle del Jerte) and the river which runs through it (El Rio Jerte). The name Jerte comes from the Arab Xerete meaning water paradise.
The hotel has 17 luxurious rooms designed to create harmony with the body, heart and spirit. Surrounded by lovely gardens, pool and with an exquisite gourmet restaurant cooking local produce. The Valle del Jerte offers the visitor a wide range of possibilities to discover hidden Extremadura. The valley is renowned for the magnificent spectacle offered when the Cherry trees (the main source of income in the area) are in bloom. The large number of waterfalls and streams coming down the mountains and into the Jerte River create authentic water paradises and contribute to the greenery of the scenery. It is also a good starting point for a number of visits including, Plasencia and Guadalupe.
