The holiday country house (casa rural) Avíos was a traditional farm worker’s house, restored in the rural architectural Cantabria style, using local stone, oak and chestnut wood, keeping the original oak beams as a feature. 2 kms from the coast with magnificent views over the sea and inland valleys. Just over 3kms is Santillana del Mar, its Altamira caves and their cave paintings.

200m2 garden. To get to Casa de Avíos from Santander (airport or port), get off the motorway A67 towards Torrelavega. Take exit 187 signposted towards Santillana del Mar/Suances/Comillas, follow the signs for Santillana del Mar and once you’re on the main road CA 145, turn right at Km 5.2 towards Camplengo/Yuso. After the football pitch, turn left towards Yuso and 2kms later you get to Avíos.

Low cost flights are available to Santander by Ryanair from Liverpool and Stanstead. To Bilbao or Asturias by Easyjet. Connections to Liverpool or Stanstead from most UK and Irish airports via either Easyjet or Ryanair. |
