Beautifully restored, 16th century mill on the banks of the Ebro. Set in private grounds (50.000m), swimming pool, barbecues, picnic areas. The Mill is converted into a group of three cottages, two apartments and two suites in several acres of private grounds on the Banks of the River Ebro is a haven of peace and relaxation with its own swimming pool, Turkish baths and restaurant, barbecues and picnic areas, bikes and canoes, fishing and swimming. Situated in one of the most unspoilt and unknown valleys of Cantabria where the incomparable natural surroundings seem to have stopped in time. The small market town of Polientes is just a ten minute walk away, with its old stone buildings, typical Spanish bars with terraces and tapas, local bakery, a couple of restaurants and all other services. The cottages grouped around a central patio are ideal for family holidays, large and airy with big kitchens and dining tables all furnished in a rustic style. The two suites – with minimalist luxury furnishing and Jacuzzis are tucked away in a far corner of the grounds. They are ideal for couples and often used as honeymoon retreats. All the cottages and suites are fully prepared for self-catering but when you want to eat out try our first class restaurant in the grounds. Easy to get here on the new motorway: Santander 90 minutes, beaches of Cantabria 50 minutes, Bilbao under 2 hours, Oviedo 2 hrs 30 mins, Burgos 1 hour, Madrid 3 hours. Grammar classes, grammar consolidation, text commentary and conversation. Price: 1 hour per day for 5 days: 75 €; 2 hours per day for 5 days: 140 €.
