| House, built in cave and over 100 years old, was restored and prepared as holiday home during 1999-2000. Within cave area there is large lounge bedroom area, also bathroom kitchen and reading cave. Outside patio with barbecue and small garden. House reflects way of life traditional in area when people lived in caves close to peaks in centre of island to cope with varying climate. Hot summers, cold winters. Caves maintain permanent stable temperature. |
