Walking
Walk straight out of the house and up to the castle you can see across the valley. Walk in any direction, the area is abundant in flora and fauna, look out for Griffin Vultures and Golden Eagles. Whether you are a serious walker or just like to ramble up the river gorge looking for swimming holes, the scenery is staggering. Ideal location for painters, photographers, birdwatchers or those just wishing to enjoy an area of Spain that is totally unspoilt.

Ski-ing at Valdelinares - 40 minute drive to ski station.
Ski-ing at Javalambre - 1 hour drive to ski station.
Both the above are great for just funning in the snow and beautiful places to walk all year round.
Golf - 30 minute drive to El Castillejo, Alcala de Selva, 9 hole golf course set in mountain landscape.
Fishing - the region is very underpopulated, therefore rivers & lakes are teaming with fish.
Places to visit
A 45 minute drive. Teruel City is the provincial capital, beautiful mudejar architecture including the 12th century cathedral, museums and much more. Busy cafe squares.
Dinopolis, a dinosaur / cultural theme park with an interesting Jurassic route explaining the history of dinosaurs, museum with fossils, 3D cinema and a meteorite.

The holiday house is located on the Aragon part of the Camino de Santiago (Pilgrim's Way) at the foot of San Juan de la Peña monastery, only 14 kms from Jaca and close to the Pyrenees and ski resorts of Astun, Candanchu, Formigal and Panticosa. Mountain activities are on offer through Pyrenean Adventure, Aragon.
All the rooms have: mini-bar, safe, television, feather duvets. The house has a spa area with jacuzzi, sauna and relaxation room.

Holiday houses La Laguna and La Buhardilla have views over the conservation area of the La Laguna de Gallocanta (Gallocanta lagoon).
