This comfortable apartment is situated on a "plaza" with a fountain near the top of the village of Iznájar. This is a typical white Andalucian village, perched on a hill with narrow medieval streets, flowered alleyways and, crowning the top of the village, a picturesque moorish castle. The surrounding area is of great natural beauty: endless rolling hills planted with olive trees in deep contrast with the turquoise waters of Lake Iznájar and the sienna colour of the soil.

Zuheros is one of the most picturesque villages in Andalucía. Visit the nearby bat caves (Cuevas de los Murciélagos). Ideally situated on the fringe of the Sierra Subbetica Natural Park, this area is now becoming a popular base for walkers and painters. There is an old railway which passes the village which has been transformed into a Via Verde which serves as a walking and cycling route. The village also has a well known cheese factory Las Balanchares, which uses milk from locally bred goats in the sierras. Cheese can be bought directly from the factory. The hotel is located 100 km from Córdoba, an hour from Granada, and an hour and a half from Málaga.

This is one of three pretty holiday cottages on a private rural estate of 25 hectares, only 14km from the heart of the beautiful Human Heritage City of Cordoba. The Finca has been completely developed by the owner for tourism close to nature and all the cottages are completely independent. This house is between the owners house and the second cottage but is completely private. The swimming pool is shared between the three houses. The entrance to the house is to the north and it is beautifully shaded in summer by mulberry and hackberry trees which turn the front porch into a delightful place in which to relax. The swimming pool adds beauty and freshness to the surroundings on the hottest days. The villa sleeps four with two extra beds for children in the living room. Tne interior is beautifully decorated and full of harmonious colour and good taste reaches every corner of the house. There is a large lounge and two well decorated bedrooms with some of the original works of the owner who is an artist. This is a lovely place to spend a holiday at any time of year at one with nature, but with lots to discover too. This pretty and modern holiday apartment sleeping four people is on the top floor of a delightful country house in a beautiful natural setting - rural and quiet. The owners live on the bottom floor at the weekend and in summer they share the swimming pool with the guests. The apartment has its own entrance and is fully equipped with modern appliances. There’s a Norweigan jacuzzi on the top terrace – as well as a completely private area where you can relax and sunbathe. The views from the terrace over the mountains and the reservoir are superb and sunsets are not to be missed. The apartment is friendly and cosy – there’s a comfortable living room with an open fire, from where you also have the lovely views. The breakfast bar kitchen is well equipped. The bedrooms (one double and one twin) are well and tastefully furnished. The ceilings have wooden beams. Outside the house there’s another terrace also for the use of the guests with plants and flowers.
Area: Between Rute and Las Lagunillas. Under an hour from Sierra Nevada (Granada), where you can go skiing; just over an hour from Córdoba; half an hour from Antequera (Parque Natural del Torcal, golf courses); about two hours from Sevilla. From the house there are walks, horse riding, cycling, canoeing and sailing (on the Iznajar reservoir where you can do sailing courses). There are various interesting ‘routes’ you can do locally in the Iznájar area: Rute (with its many museums), Priego de Córdoba (Barroque), Almedinilla (Roman), Ruta de los Castillos (castles) (Poniente granadino: Montefrío, Illora, Moclín, Alcalá La Real, Castillo de Locubín and Alcaudete).

Newly built house on one floor with swimming pool on a 15 hectare estate surrounded by orange trees and olive groves. At the front of the house there is a covered patio leading onto swimming pool area where you can sit and admire the views over Almodovar castle. Inside the house is full of natural light and the lounge is furnished with handmade pine furniture. The patio is ideal for long, relaxing, al fresco dinners (and lunches) - either cooked in the adjoining kitchen or on the barbecue. There is also a meeting room or reading room leading off the patio. 400 metres to the south of the house is a stream that runs into the Guadalquivir river. You can fish in the stream for red mullet or carp. To the north the watchtower of the castle stands out against the horizon - the castle itself is well worth a visit. Places to visit nearby include: 8 km the village of Almodóvar, 10 km Posadas, 25 km Córdoba and approx 100 km Sevilla.

This delightful Andaluz house with swimming pool offers bed and breakfast from it’s beautiful vantage point on the Sierra de Cordoba, overlooking spectacular countryside and only 15 minutes away from the monumental city of Cordoba. The rural house is on a private estate of it’s own and it has lovely views of the white houses that dot the surrounding farmland and the picturesque castle of Almodovar, which is well worth a visit.
The owners of this small guest house live on the ground floor, where they prepare our breakfast, and where they will also prepare lunch or supper, if we order it before we go out. Guests aren’t limited to their rooms in our house, they have the whole of the estate at their disposal, especially upstairs where there is a double room, with lounge and shower room. Downstairs there is a double room and full bathroom. Outdoors we can really appreciate our fine surroundings, dipping into the swimming pool and enjoying the great views at the same time, or having a relaxing outdoor meal in the picnic area. Indoors, we find a lovely lounge, tastefully decorated with restored furniture and a cosy and comfortable atmosphere, just like in the rest of the house. The bedrooms are particularly original, with lots of little details and with some excellent paintings.
Close by there is a Spanish Bull fighting school (3.5km). Watersports (like waterskiing, wakeboarding, and all kinds of fishing) are available on the nearby Breña reservoir. The Hornachuelos Regional Park, (15km or 10 mins drive away) is ideal for those who like walking or riding, and for organised routes on horseback or horse-riding lessons we have stables just 8km from the house. Canoeing is also available on the Bembezar dam. And for the less sports inclined of course the house is ideally situated for visiting Andalucia’s classical inland cities, of Cordoba (the Mosque, Medina Azahara ruins) and Sevilla (1 hour). Excellent restaurant close by where you can try all our local gastronomy, meals to order at our guest house, and of course the whole range of Spanish cooking in the nearby city of Cordoba.

This magnificient holiday house is unique. Ideal for family holidays it is situated on a sunny hillside, with great views, amongst olive groves and overlooking the turquoise waters of beautiful Lake Iznajar almost equidistant from the famous Andaluz monumental cities of Cordoba, malaga and Granada.
The villa has an exquisite rustic decoration with attention to every detail: wooden beams, terracotta tiles and andalusian craftwork. The main front door opens onto a lovely large lounge area with open hearth and panoramic windows looking out over the lake at our very feet. The main door is over 100 years old; the original patio (23om2) has been maintained with a small garden of raised beds, typical of traditional Andalucian properties, which today has been complemented by a delightful, refreshing swimming pool. Cordoba is 1 hours 15 mins and the cities of Granada and Malaga only 1 hour by car.

This delightful villa is set in a valley that used to be the route up to the Sierra Morena. These days, it’s an area of smallholdings planted with orange trees, fruit orchards and olive groves which supply the owners and their neighbours with fresh fruit. Many houses are second homes or holiday homes or, as is the case with this charming villa, are rural tourism accommodation. As you walk up towards the house, you have lovely views of a landscape dotted with villas and cottages and the rolling Sierra Morena mountains in the background. The villa is set on a private estate (1.500m2) and is fenced all the way round its perimeter. There’s plenty of space for children (and adults!) to play outside. There’s a sunroom and an excellent terrace next to the swimming pool where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The sunroom is great on winter days where you can shut yourself away from the cold. The accommodation is on one floor (230m2), the living-dining room is spacious and comfortable and opens onto the kitchen; the four bedrooms are fully furnished and one sleeps three people and another four. Located in the Subbetica district of Cordoba, this cortijo has been refurbished, maintaining its traditional casa de campo (country house) style and offers a swimming pool and accommodation on two floors. The villa has a carefully tended lawned area to the front and some steps lead up to a porch which gives access to a spacious and comfortable living / dining room. We are in a central location with many interesting sights to see fairly close by such as the Torcal Natural Park in Antequera (30 mins), the ski slopes of the Sierra Nevada in Granada (less than 1 hour), the beautiful historic and monumental center of Cordoba (about 1 hour), the beaches of Malaga (1 hour) and lovely Seville (2 hours).

The house has been decorated by the owners, and it’s original paintings on the walls give it a special originality and colour all of it’s own, particularly the refreshing mural painted on one of the walls of the lounge – dining room. There is a very well equipped kitchen which leads out onto the two porches – terraces of the house. The two bedrooms are very well decorated and with high quality linen. This is a very relaxing and peaceful place, only 20 minutes by car from the heart of Cordoba, a Human Heritage City, full of important Roman and Moorish monuments like the famous Mosque. There are the enormous caves which were once Arab quarries and which give this area a special atmosphere. These caves are often the site of artistic and ecological events.

RIVERO RURAL 2 is a holiday house built in 2004 on the site of an old farm and set around a 300m patio. The rural house, El Rincon was completely remodeled in 2005 and is located in the center of a small village rich in Arabic archtecture.
Recliners are available on our magnifent terrace for sunbathing while offering excellent views of the countryside and ancient church. There is also a heated swimming pool, solarium, turkish baths with aromatized water jets and a patio with hammocks. Cordoba and the wine producing regions of Montilla are a short ten minutes away.

These two pretty villas or rural houses are on a tradtional Cortijo in the South of Cordoba, a beautiful area in the Andalucian countryside famous for the quality of it's wines, and very centrally located for visiting the historical Andalucian cities of Cordoba, Granada, Jaen and Sevilla. Closer to home besides being able to have a lovely relaxing time besides the swimming pool on the cortijo, you can also enjoy donkey trips, and excursions by horse drawn cart, and many other programmed activities by the Cortijo Patriachal. The owners can organise any kind of activity you should require, particularly related to the local areas wine and gourmet. This establishment is on one of Andalucia's famous wine routes "Vino Montilla Moriles" with three different routes to explore and discover the local wine producing industry. There are also many local Spanish fiestas in the area and numerous villages and monuments of great cultural interest. On the other side of the gentle hills of Sierrezuela heading towards Villaviciosa, some 3km from the village of Posadas, is the splendid holiday house set on a private estate (12.000m2) with its own private swimming pool. It sleeps a total of 16 people and can be rented in its entirety or when available individual rooms (doubles and singles) can be rented with breakfast included. If you're doing bed and breakfast, then the pool is shared with the other guests.
The house has an attractive patio-terrace with great views and the welcome shade provided by a walnut tree. The surrounding countryside is bursting with jasmin, roses and green meadowland. Next to the patio is a covered terrace - a great place for breakfast or other al fresco meals. The barbecue is next to the house and is perfect for preparing lunch or dinner, interspersed with the occasional dip in the pool. This area is surrounded by lawn and is a lovely place to finish the day after the heat of the midday sun when silence and tranquility are beginning to fall over the finca and its surrounding fields of maize, olive and orange groves and vineyards.
The accommodation is on one floor. The open fire is the main feature of the huge lounge together the vast amounts of light that flood in through the windows. The kitchen is separate and full equipped. The bedrooms are simple but comfortable and full of colour.
Please note for reservations for 10 or more people, you will have the house to yourselves.
Nearby is the Breña reservoir (8km), offering watersports. In the village of Almodóvar del Río (8km from Posadas) is a picturesque castle and many other outdoor activities, such as walking, cycling, horseriding, etc. You can also visit and enjoy the Regional Park of Hornachuelos (12km from Posadas), a very beautiful conservation area in the Sierra Morena. Near the village of Hornachuelos is the dam of the Bembezar reservoir where you can go canoeing and go on a boat trip up the tidal river.
