Beautifully restored apartment in the very heart of the historic Old Town of Tarifa, Spain. It has been re furbished by a local artist and has been featured in magazines. The house onces belonged to a local photographer. His pictures of tarifa in the 50's adorn the walls. This is a spacious one bedroom with pull out sofa bed, it is a brightly lit and overlooks an ancient cobbled square below. There is a huge sun roof terrace above.
You will love Tarifa. You can Kitesurf, write a book, whale watch, bird watch or laze in or on a cafe or a beach. It is surrounded by nature reserve lands. Whales live in the straits of Gibraltar. Birds migrate from Africa to Europe overhead. Tarifa is located on the most southern tip of Spanish Andalusia. Tarifa has a sheltered Mediterranean beach and has a 10K undeveloped Atlantic beach. It is amazing. Click on our mini guide above for great things to do in Tarifa.

Two identical newly built houses offer holiday accommodation on the same land; each is on a private estate of 800m2 and is only 300m from the beach in Caños de Meca. Each house sleeps 4 people and if rented together can accommodate a group of 8 people. The houses have an entry porch, a lawned area and a portable barbecue. The parking area is at the front of the house. The two houses are comfortable and designed to be the ideal holiday house for a beach holiday on a stretch of coast which has more than 25km of stunning unspoilt sandy beaches that go from La Mangueta to Zahara de los Atunes, and passing through Caños de Meca. Opposite the house there are wonderful views over green countryside – the regional park of la Breña and the Marismas de Barbate, that encircle the village and sweep down to the sea opposite the popular cliffs Acantilado del Tajo. The two ports represent the two faces of the sea: the leisure port is symbolic of the passage between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic Seas and the fishing port which is a symbol of the tradition and culture of the la Almadraba.

This holiday villa is only 12km from Tarifa, and is similar in style to the other villa that is on the same estate and shares the swimming pool (see Ref. CA-039). Each villa is however self contained and private. This villa is next to the pool which is planted with scented plants such as jasmin, honeysuckle as well as wisteria, cork trees, bay and other indigenous Mediterranean trees. There's an open air patio / terrace in front of the house with an area to sit and eat outdoors or to relax watching the surroundings after a tiring day on the beach.
The living/dining room is simply furnished and it has a fireplace for the cold winter days. Every bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, which makes it comfortable and private for guests.
The surroundings are part of Los Alcornocales Natural Park and of Parque del Estrecho.
We are surrounded here by a vast forest, where the cork oak is probably one of the most extensive and best preserved forest in the world; a subtropical forest (laurel, strawberry tree, sarsaparrilla) unique in Europe.
Due to its location, it is also an important area of natural ornithological observation, where we can enjoy a unique show: in spring, when temperatures are softer in Europe, thousands of birds come back from Africa to reproduce.
In Tarifa we can practice wind sports in the sea (windsurf and kite surf) and it is a centre of worldwide attraction for those who practice these sports (if you wish more information, we can contact a professional company devoted to this)
We can also do other activities here such as riding a bike, horse riding, climbing, scuba diving (with a scuba diving school in Tarifa), diving, golf, paragliding or hiking routes along Los Alcornocales Natural Park.
Location: There is a café in the estate at weekends. 300m away from restaurants and grocer’s. 500m away from the chemist’s. Getares beach in Algeciras is 6km away, Tarifa 12km, Bolonia and its beaches 20km, Castellar 35minutes and Jimena 45min away. Nearest airport: Gibraltar (20min). Train and bus station 300m away.
