| The country cottage Ca La Laia is a pretty, completely restored holiday house which dates from 1879 in the beautiful countryside and wine producing area of the Penedes only 30 mins from Barcelona. A great house to relax in away from hectic city life, completely surrounded by the calm beauty of the vineyards. Ideally central for visiting many famous spots in Catalunya and half an hour from the beaches of the Garraf. Pretty local villages, nice walking in the area and visits to famous wine and cava producers.
You mustn’t miss...
The excursion to Foix Sanctuary (the best panoramic views of the Penedes), walking through the fountains of the village next to the irrigation channel. Visit the dairy farm Láctics foix and buy their products in the village. Visit the Sant Martí Sarroca castle. Enjoy walking and buying in the most famous street market of Cataluña, which opens in Villafranca on saturday mornings. And don´t forget to visit the Torres wine cellar only 5m from Torrelles de Foix.
