| CASA RURAL LINDOS HUESPEDES is the ideal holiday accommodation for guests who love their food (roast lamb, bread and cakes being among the local specialities) and who want to enjoy the countryside. It's an excellent area for cycling and there's plenty of local tourist information in the house about the castle in Torrelobatón, Tordesillas the Cistercian monastery de la Santa Espina, the Torozos mountains, Arabic art in the districts of Wamba and San Cebrián de Mazote, and the museum in San Román de Hornija. Local historic towns worth a visit include: Urueña, a walled town with interesting museums run by the foundation Joaquín Díaz; Peñaflor de Hornija has spectacular sunsets; Medina de Rioseco, where you can take a delightful boat trip up the canal of Castille; Villalba de los Alcores with its castle and Roman churches; the monastery of Matallana and the tourist info centre at Mota del Marqués Castillo de Montealegre; Roman ruins of a church at Terceruelo. Wine routes round Toro. |

Directions for driving
From Madrid take the A- 6 motorway northbound to Mota del Marqués, and at exit 196 turn right to get onto the VP-5603 to Villasexmir.
From Burgos and Valladolid or Salamanca, take the A-62 motorway as far as Tordesillas and then the A-6 motorway northbound to Mota del Marqués, and at exit 196 turn right to get onto the minor road VP-5603 to Villasexmir.
