| A country hostal in the village of Arén in the Ribagorza area of the Pyrenees, on the border with Catalonia. The beauty of the area has made it into a popular holiday town with many holiday homes. The hostal has a traditional Aragon flavour but enjoys the culture of the Catalunia area in an excellent mountain environment. Ribagorza is the highest area in the central pyrenees, with impressive landscpes and the highest mountain Aneto. Fantastic historical and cultural heritage, towns and villages in the valleys, with romanesque and renaissance monasteries, fortresses and churches, dramatic mountain backdrops, close to the Benasque and cerler skiing areas,and access to the french ski stations. Spain's most important climbing school. Excellent area for serious climbing, hiking and bird watching. Guided outdoor sports activities for all ages and levels on offer by companies throughout the area - hiking, horse riding, rafting, canoeing, landrover trips to the high peaks etc. |
